Fabrizio Romano dropped this exclusive story that Man Utd and captain Bruno Fernandes have reached an agreement to extend his contract.

His current deal ends in June of 2026 and that was after he had agreed terms in April 2022 to extend his original contract.

This new deal will see the midfielder remain at Old Trafford until June 2027 with an option for a further year.

Romano also adds that Bruno's salary will be 'at top Man Utd level.'

The Portuguese international is on a reported Β£240k a week salary (Capology) putting him 5th on the list for highest earners at the club with Casemiro (Β£350k), Marcus Rashford (Β£300k), Jadon Sancho (Β£250k) and Mason Mount (Β£250k) all earning more than Bruno.

Final Thoughts

Really delighted with this news as he is one of my favourite players since coming to United back in 2020.

He is the embodiment of what it takes to be a United player as he gives absolutely everything, every game, no matter where he plays. He is also available all the time which when looking at our recent history, is kind of a miracle.

‍

He is also the captain, a leader, very experienced, well-liked and respected at the club.

We know the quality he brings to United as without him, I fear to imagine how crap we would've been.

To potentially have him here for the next three or four years is a big boost for MUFC as to lock a player of that importance and quality down is vital.

‍

I'm not sure how much he will go on to earn though. His Β£240k per week wage is already quite high and is currently one of the top earners at the club but I suppose when looking at who's ahead of him, Bruno definitely deserves a raise given all that he's done for United.

Although, I thought INEOS were wanting to move away from these high wages 🀷.

But if there's any player who deserves high wages it is Bruno Fernandes.

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
