United failed to make the most of the chance to get into the top 5 (again) thanks to a disappointing loss to the league’s in-form side as Villa managed to beat United in the PL for the first time since 2022.
Well, I suppose that that isn't anything special considering the level of opponent, with all due respect to Wolves. We didn't expect anything less other than a convincing United victory. Thankfully, that's what we got 🙌.
The problem with games such as these is that we've been here soooooooooo many times before we end up saying the same things, complain about the same problems, only for us to make the same mistakes in next game.
Ruben and his Reds got what was a HUGE 3 points at a ground where victories have been scarce over the years. After their dismal display at home to Everton a week ago, the United boss was in desperate need of a result at Palace.
I thought we appeared too rushed at times especially after the Everton red card. United looked too panicked almost as if they had to get the equalizer right away and while yes, getting the next goal asap was needed, the way we went about trying to get it was not.
It feels like it's been a complete season already with the amount of ups and downs. Hell, we've faced all five of the other big 6 teams, finally managed to win at Anfield, got back-to-back PL victories under Amorim for the first time...
Back-to-back 2-2 draws for United felt like back-to-back defeats when looking at how we ended up with those points. After taking the lead in both of our last two matches, we would've hoped to have taken all 3 come the final whistle yet we're happy to walk away with a point.
Ruben's Reds didn't take advantage of a Forest side who hadn't won in the league since opening day and hadn't scored at home in three. After three wins on the bounce, many expected a fourth.
RUBEN'S REDS ARE COOKINGGGG!!!! 🔥 Three wins on the bounce, into the European positions, ahead of title holders Loserpool, above WoRlD cHaMpIoNs Chelsea and next thing you know, we're on a title charge.
For me, that is the most important. Yes there was a bit of luck when looking at the three times LFC hit the post and both Gakpo and Salah missing sitters but that's not our problem.
Ruben Amorim was in dire need of such a win and display from his side after all of the pressure he's had to endure so far this season. A lot of it was brought upon by himself with his choices but as you'll see, he did make amends for them in this match.
But thankfully, it wasn't. It was the right way round. Man Utd and Ruben Amorim beat Chelsea in a crazy game at Old Trafford which meant it was Amorim's first back-to-back victories at home in the league.
Some have been saying that this derby loss was worse than the 6-3 a few years ago. I think it's more the manner of the defeat rather than the score line that has caused people to think in this way.
United picked up their first victory last weekend in what turned out to be a bit of a squeaky bum game. Despite another good performance, Ruben's Reds required an injury time penalty to secure the much-needed 3 points.
Man Utd managed to kill all of the positivity from the Arsenal game dead with one dreary performance against Fulham in just the second game of the season. It really was back to old habits as a lot of what we saw in this draw was strikingly similar...
While not the result may wanted, United managed to put up a stellar performance on opening day against the Gunners, one which gave us more positives than negatives and a performance to build upon for the future.
Good to be doing these again as it signals the start of a new campaign and one that is all important for everyone associated with MUFC. INEOS have pumped £200m into the transfer window on three...
United let the lead slip late on thanks to Onana and ended up making this tie a lot closer than it should've been in the return fixture at Old Trafford. The United no 1 was the main culprit...
It wasn't the most amazing of derbies. It was pretty drab but that isn't always a bad thing especially when looking at United this season. I'd rather have had a few drab 0-0s than some of the matches we've seen.
Indeed, we actually saw a decent all round game from Amorim's team despite the defeat. There was progress in some aspects of the game that he can take away as positives yet some old habits returned.
A really comfortable evening for Ruben's Reds as United came out victorious at the King Power before heading into the international break. What we saw was a continuation of the good performances...
United gave us their best performance of the season as they thumped Spanis outfit Real Sociedad 4-1 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate to go through to the quarter finals of the Europa League where they will...
Ruben Amorim saw his MUFC side pick up a decent point against second-placed Arsenal at Old Trafford in match 28 of the Premier League. However, with the way the game panned out, victory should've been ours as there were ample chances to get the 3 points.
Ruben Amorim saw his Man United side play some good football for once and while getting a draw away in Spain isn't the worst result, he will be upset that his players couldn't take advantage of an average Sociedad...
Indeed, United needed to win more than anything but sometimes, due to circumstances in the game, how you end up winning could mean a lot. As we do, we didn't make it easy for ourselves as we got over the line...
Man United managed to come away from Goodison Park with what turned out to be an entertaining point as after 70 minutes, the team were 2-0 down but thanks to late (ish) strikes by captain Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte...
It was a disappointing match because while we are crap, we should've gotten at least a point from the Spurs Stadium. In a game where we actually created good chances, we couldn't take them.
Amorim saw his Man United side put in another performance that would've made most League One sides look like prime Barcelona. We were truly awful as yet another relegation threatened team in Leicester...
Ruben Amorim was handed his 5th defeat in seven games at Old Trafford in the Premier League after their 2-0 loss to Palace who we've now not scored against in four meetings. United moved...
Amorim's United are unbeaten in Europe this season after what was a routine win for his side in a match that could've been a potential banana skin as his side overcame FCSB in the final league match of the Europa League.
Ruben Amorim picked up his second win in seven league games and second clean sheet in 12 PL matches. Both were necessary however, how his team got there remains a mystery because that performance was shocking.
United left it late again as has been a habit in recent weeks when looking at some of the latest games with captain Fernandes coming up with the winner in injury time to put his team one step into the round of 16.
There is no energy from the start which helps nobody especially the crowd who pay good money to go to games and have to watch that shite. There has to be a reason for the people to want to come to games...
What turned out to be a memorable night wasn't always so as in typical United fashion, they did give us a scare. Luckily, that nightmare didn't last all game and the last 10 minutes gave us the result we all wanted...
A night to remember for United as against the odds, we still managed to pull off the unthinkable. Ruben Amorim actually had a smile on his face during that game which isn't something that we see often.
Consistency is the word. It's something mentioned by both the manager and captain post-match as despite what was one heck of a performance by United neither Amorim nor Bruno were entirely happy.
We were completely run through as they couldn't cope with Joelinton, Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes who were all over Casemiro and Eriksen. They ran the show and ultimately controlled the game.
Honestly, what do we even say anymore? We seem to get worse every game when it looks very difficult to do so. But what do we know? These players are an embarrassment to the shirt and a lot of them need to go.
Yes it was a game of disappointments when taking into account how many goals were conceded, how they were conceded and that we lost and are out of the Carabao Cup, but I feel as though that was a necessary sacrifice for the bigger picture: the football.
But that's just a reminder for all those who thought otherwise.Ruben Amorim only went and beat Pep and City again and won his first derby in his first attempt. "Can we play you every week? Can we play you every week."
Ruben Amorim became only the third manager in United's history to win his first two European games although he hardly faced the best of the best. The other two managers to achieve this? Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ruben Amorim suffers back-to-back defeats as MUFC manager just 5 games into his reign. This defeat hurts more than most considering that it was just his 5th game and the performance was seriously below par.
There were a lot of things for him to takeaway from this match both in a good and bad sense but I believe that a game like this will help him a lot more than had we gone there and won.
MUFC recorded their biggest home league win since the 5-1 hiding of Leeds back in August 2021 as they beat Everton 4-0 on Sunday. Erik ten Hag had also not won a league game by 4 or more goals. Ruben Amorim did it in his second game.
Despite it being only his second game in charge, Man Utd made some good strides in the right direction under Ruben AmorHIM (😉) in their entertaining 3-2 win over the Norwegians.
It was very United-esque. The draw at Ipswich was reminiscent of times gone by as there was more Erik ten Hag in this performance than Ruben Amorim. I suppose that is to be expected given the time...
As it looks like Ruud van Nistelrooy will be manager for a little longer than expected, it would be a good idea to see where there were some differences to his first performance compared to his predecessor Erik ten Hag.
One of which is what is Erik ten Hag trying to do with his style? But a third straight draw in the Europa League still leaves United in 21st position after three games. The new format leaves room for progression...
Erik ten Hag got his important win over a man who could still potentially replace him in Thomas Frank and his Bees. United's 2-1 triumph was their first in five after three draws and a loss which left the MUFC...
In an isolated game, this actually wasn't the most terrible performance and result from United. To get a draw at Villa is considered a great point at the best of times given how well they're playing so to do...
There was nothing positive about the performance against Spurs. The only good thing to come out of that game was losing just 3-0. It ought to have been 5 or 6. That defeat meant Erik ten Hag is a dead man walking...
Jokes aside, MUFC were pretty flat and gave us a bit of PTSD as after three really positive performances, they reverted to default settings and bring back all those frustrations and concerns of the past.
MUFC felt sorry for Palce and decided not to score resulting in a frustrating evening for all. Erik ten Hag's side did everything but put the ball in the back of the net.Another game where unnecessary points were dropped.
Indeed it was perfect as everything we did was spot on. After a great win at Southampton, Barnsley was a chance for us to slip up. Thankfully, we didn't and we built from Saturday's 3-0 win and improved on it even further.
It wasn't as smooth sailing as the score line suggests but we desperately needed a drama-free game (if you want to call it that). Yes it had it's drama moments but nothing controversial nor was there any shit...
If anything, I feel as if we've gone backwards. Before, the play style may not have been great but in the main, we at least saw that we were a counter-attacking team. Now though, it's hard to see a clear style or a team at all.
Man Utd were well and truly back in their defeat against Brighton. Last week's win over Fulham was just a blip, it seemed, in our continuous form of shiteness. That victory gave us all a lot of optimism heading...
Erik ten Hag's side began his third season at the club with a slightly nervy 1-0 win over Fulham. He will be happy with the result and general performance, but there were areas where he would be a little annoyed.
Man Utd let Man City win the Community Shield as the Red Devils gave up victory not just in the 90 minutes but penalties as well. Despite the defeat though, there were more positives to take from this loss than...
This game really taught us a lot when looking at how it panned out. Much like I’ve said in recent weeks, this one had hella positives as well. To end off a truly terrible season with a victory over City, a trophy and European football...
In the last game of the league campaign, MUFC got the job done at was what has become a bit of a bogey ground for the team in recent years. 0–2 at Brighton is a great way to finish the season and gather momentum moving into that FA Cup final.
Yes, it’s very rare to be saying that Man Utd actually won a game and played well doing so. However, that is exactly what we got in the club’s final game at Old Trafford for the season. Quite the entertaining sendoff at the Theatre of Dreams.
