The greatest teenager in the world that you've never heard of (let's be honest) signs for Man United!

Fabrizio Romano said those three words for the now former Arsenal youngster Chido Obi-Martin to join MUFC.

The 16-year-old striker accepted United's proposal after turning down "higher bids" from Germany in order to join Erik ten Hag's army.

Romano also says that new coach and ex-striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was key to this deal as he "held direct talks with Obi-Martin to present him Man Utd project for long-term."

Ruud was also "crucial" in getting the green light from the young striker to come to Old Trafford.

Ruud not only cooking in training but also off the field. My guy ✊.

And it doesn't end there as Fabrizio Romano has also said that United have agreed a deal to sign another youngster in Samuel Lusale from the Crystal Palace academy.

He too is a 16-year-old who turned down a scholarship deal at the Eagles in order to join MUFC.

While these may not be the deals you want to be hearing of, to be bringing in talented youngsters is always a good thing especially when you hear that they turn down other offers so that they could come to United.

Other News

An update on Leny Yoro's injury is that he will be out for the 3-6 weeks, according to @INSIDERUTD1.

Not super serious but not great news either. If that is true, then Yoro will miss the first couple of games for United in the Premier League which include Fulham, Brighton and Liverpool before the first international break.

We all saw the video of him walking on crutches with a protective boot around his left leg.

We cannot afford to have Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof or Jonny Evans partner Lisandro Martinez in those first three games. Fulham will be difficult, Brighton have had our number recently and Liverpool is Liverpool.

We need to get in Matthijs De Ligt NOW otherwise we risk dropping points at the start of yet another season.

Real Betis

United are also in action against Real Betis in San Diego in their fourth and penultimate game of pre-season.

Erik ten Hag's team haven't had the best of times this pre-season as they've lost two and won one of the three games. The defeats were to Rosenborg and Arsenal with the only win coming against Rangers.

With injuries to Rasmus Hojlund (who isn't expected to be out for too long) and Leny Yoro as well as interest to players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay, perhaps ten Hag's team will be even weaker than what he's been fielding so far.

Potential Outgoings

I mention AWB and Scott McTominay and why ten Hag may want to not play them because both players have heavy interests from other clubs.

We've known for a little while that Wan-Bissaka is wanted by West Ham and that he is close to joining the Hammers.

Fulham will apparently offer a £30m deal for McTominay (talkSPORT via @mufcMPB) as they want the Scotsman in their ranks. There are even links to Turkish giants Galatasaray as they too are interested in the midfielder.

This is why I believe it would be a good idea to not involve either of AWB or McTominay in the next two games. Should they pick up injuries, will West Ham and Fulham want to sign them?

This will then mean that we will have to keep two players that aren't good enough in my opinion and that the manager and club clearly wouldn't mind getting rid of as well.

There's no need to risk something like this.

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
