David Ornstein has given us some major news regarding midfielder Scott McTominay.

Ornstein says that "Napoli agree deal with Man Utd for Scott McTominay. Subject to all parties being satisfied on player terms. ~€30m + % of future sale. Important for #MUFC FFP compliance. Manuel Ugarte potential signing would be aided by 27yo’s exit."

Final Thoughts

Happy days. Tears in my eyes 😭.

I won't fully believe it until he's holding up the shirt but with Ornstein, you can believe that it is basically done.

Never thought that he would leave United and England so this is a bit of a surprising deal in my opinion.

I'm not gonna lie, I've never been a big fan of McTominay's. I never thought that he was good enough and he isn't the quality we need moving forward. His attributes aren't what's required when looking at how the manager truly wants to play.

People may think that I hate him because of how happy I am at him leaving but it's actually that I don't rate him. Simple.

He isn't the only one who's like this.

Scotty showed his qualities in terms of goal scoring, aerial ability, physicality and above all else, having the right attitude. There aren't many players that show that type of attitude as some of them are just knobs. McTominay has always displayed the right mentality and respect towards the club.

I think this is a great move for more reasons than one.

McTominay doesn't appear to be getting a lot of game time so needed to move and make place for someone else (probably Manuel Ugarte), the money is good, it's a youth player being sold for a good amount and it's a good deal for Scotty himself.

At 27-years-old, he's in his prime and shouldn't be sitting on the bench. He's good enough to play for certain teams like Napoli but not those wanting to fight for the biggest trophies, which I hope United do.

The fact that this triggers the move for Ugarte will just make this deal even better.

But some big news coming out of Old Trafford. What do you make of this?

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
