One bomb after another. INEOS truly aren't wasting any time this transfer window, their first for the club.
I know, I know, perhaps I'm getting a little ahead of myself as Manuel Ugarte hasn't actually signed for United and in fact, there's still quite a bit to be done to secure his signature but with the way INEOS are operating, we should have him done in the next hours, right 😅?
But the man Fabrizio Romano posted on X that United and Ugarte have come to an agreement on personal terms as the Uruguayan continues to push for a move to Old Trafford.
Romano said that United "have agreed on personal terms with Ugarte" and that the player "is keen on moving to United." Discussions between MUFC and PSG continue as the clubs look to find the ideal fee to agree on for the midfielder's signature.
An interesting thing about Ugarte is that he has Jorge Mendes as his agent, the agent of Leny Yoro 👀.
Speaking of the French defender, just one-and-a-half hours after his official announcement as a United player, Romano drops this news that Ugarte and United have agreed on personal terms.
Now you can understand why I was getting a little giddy.
While nothing is set in stone, the fact that this first step in the transfer has been completed and quite quickly, it makes for good reading that the midfielder will be ours soon.
United have had an interest in him for a while but as is still the case, the fee and deal between the clubs remains the matter to solve.
There is still interest from other clubs for the 23-year-old and despite United having him as their main target, it isn't an absolute that MUFC won't instead go for another player.
At this moment though, it is looking like Manuel Ugarte will join Erik ten Hag's ever-improving squad.
