One way to do it

A route to getting our club back?

Man United are shit. We've known this for a long time.

But the main reason as to why we're shit is because of the Glazers, the majority owners of the football club.

And I know they aren't responsible for what goes on on the pitch but actually they are. This is their football club and when you own something that means so much to so many, you would show some care and try to improve things for the future.

With them though, couldn't care less what's happening on the field. Out of the cups, close to relegation, eh, what does it matter, we will still make a hell of a lot of money anyways 🤷‍♂️.

On top of that, the Glazers get away with it even more because the fan base are at each other a lot of the time as if you don't agree with my opinion then you're a knobhead who doesn't know ball and vice versa. Everyone then hates on the everyone.

Before non-United fans say that the Glazers have spent a billion or so in the past decade, that money wasn't theirs, it was the club's. And if they truly cared about United, they would ask those they employ why did they waste all that money on crap players.

We also focus a lot on the players which is fair but it all goes back to the ownership because they have all the power to make the necessary changes to see us back to where we want to be.

While he and INEOS have only been co-owners of United for a year, Sir Jim Glazer I mean Ratcliffe 😏, is part of the problem as well.

This 27% takeover and ruling the football side of things gave the Glazers a way out and by out I mean in as they stayed at the club. Yes they may not own as much as before but they are still the owners of Manchester United.

INEOS are enemy number one at the moment because they are making some really difficult but truly unpopular decisions when looking at 450 staff redundancies, canceling of charity events, increased ticket prices and so on.

They are obviously trying to do what they believe is necessary to save money in order to help the club but are going on about it in completely the wrong way. When we have players that are not the level needed to be a United player yet earn hundreds of thousands of pounds per week (with a good portion of them not even playing) one would think that maybe just get rid of those players and you can save all that money and not have to sack staff?

So Sir Jim is taking the hits for the Glazers by making all of these cost cutting moves that while is probably required, is unpopular but thanks to how much the Glazers let things rot over the past decade, something needed to happen.

I'm not letting INEOS off the hook or anything. All I'm saying is I understand why they are doing what they're doing but that it's unacceptable because of whom they're doing it to.

Like, can they not sell Luke Shaw who's on £150k-a-week yet spends most of his time in the medical room? Selling Shaw would save you £7.2m a year. Imagine what we could do with that money. That is just one player of which we have several that need to be moved on mainly because they're not good enough for United but for several other reasons as well.

So that's why INEOS are as much to blame as the Glazers because they appear in cahoots with each other.

However, I just saw a post that gives us a simply way to potentially get rid of this ownership once and for all.

Credit goes to Vital United who gives us an easy breakdown of what needs to be done and how effective it can be in trying to remove these owners sooner rather than later.

This is what they had to say:

" 👀 Forget sales, forget protests. Manchester United fans can get rid of the Glazers in less than 5 games and this is how they can do it.

Manchester United generates £5.2m in revenue per matchday, according to the latest fiscal accounts.

However, the club's operating profit/loss stands at just £3.1m.

This means that despite earining £198m in total revenue, only £3.1m was actual profit.

Simply put, if Manchester United fans want to get rid of the Glazers, it might be easier than they think.

An empty Old Trafford for just one match would cost the club £5m, turning their £3.1m operating profit into a £2m loss.

The Glazers might withstand one game, but shareholders would get nervous, potentially triggering a panic sell and reducing the club's value.

If fans empty Old Trafford just once, it could put serious pressure on the ownership.

If Old Trafford stayed empty for 10 games, the Glazers would be gone.

There are millions of United fans if you truly want #GlazersOut, are you willing to take action?

Please share and like to spread awareness if you're against the Glazers and INEOS.

Empty Old Trafford."

So there you have it. The best way to get them gone is by hitting them in their pockets with boycotting home matches being the foremost approach to doing so.

I live in South Africa and have never been to Old Trafford and as much as I want to, I know that this will only help the ownership even more and would make me quite hypocritical. So in a way, I'm glad that I can't go to matches because it potentially helps, even just a little.

The issue with this whole boycott though is that, most of the fan base are just casual watchers not die hard fans like ourselves that know the ins and outs of the club and that United do mean everything to us.

The causal fan is probably more into the brand of United rather than the actual football and running of operations. I don't think it matters too much to them whether we're actually well run and if we win trophies whereas for us, it means everything.

This brand is what makes the club popular more than the football and success on the pitch, of which there hasn't been any. We still bring in a lot of views despite being one of if not the worst side in United's history which tells you everything.

For these casual watchers, going to Old Trafford is a thing to say like 'I'm going to Old Trafford to watch United' and is something to tell your friends and family about, or for them buying something with the United badge on it is something to show off instead of wear with pride.

So while this boycotting matches may seem quite simple, is it?

To get 76 000 fans to not enter Old Trafford considering a lot of them will have come from around the world for the first time will be such a hard thing to do.

With a protest planned before Sunday's game against Arsenal, that will be a start and even if it's only a portion of Old Trafford that's empty due to the die hard fans not entering, then that is something as well.

What do you think about all of this? At least something appears to be happening as it's seems that the fan base has finally had enough.

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
