Marcus Rashford looks set for a move to Italy as almost all reports linking him with a move away from Old Trafford suggests he will move to Italy.
Away from the usual heavy hitters AC Milan and Juventus, United's number 10 has been linked with a move to Naples as the Serie A champions of 22/23 are eyeing up a possible swap between our star man and theirs.
According to L'equipe, United are interested in the Georgian forward with contacts already having taken place between the two clubs for some type of swap deal with Rashford and Kvaratskhelia.
However, PSG are also looking into the Napoli forward as they are leading the race for his signature. The door for a January departure has been opened by the 23-year-old as well. Paris are lining up a €80m package with talks from the player's side progressing over his personal terms - Fabrizio Romano.
Final Thoughts
We've always been linked with Kvaratskhelia ever since he had that amazing season in 22/23 when he helped Napoli win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.
The forward has then been linked with several other top clubs thanks to a campaign in which he scored 14 goals and had 17 assists.
After that year though, it hasn't been quite the same as last season he had 11 goals and 9 assists in 45 games while Kvara has just 5 goals and 3 assists in 19 matches this season.
There is still a quality player in there and he is very capable of playing for a top club. As he is a left-winger, it is a position we do need filling as United are a little short down the left flank.
The forward can also play as a second striker which suggests that one of the two number 10 roles could be ideal for him in Ruben Amorim's system. Again, that is an area where we could improve as whilst Bruno Fernandes and Amad are doing a good job there, beyond them, we have no one else.
Bringing in Kvara could help fill that role and also means that Amad can move to the RWB spot, a position in which he has played better than when he has been at CAM. Amad has also caused more damage down the right and gives the team some attacking output on the wings.
Kvaratskhelia's age (23) and profile means that he could work in Amorim's system.
Regarding Rashford, much has already been said. I am just surprised that he looks likely to move to Italy. While the country itself maybe flashy, none of the clubs are IYKWIM.
PSG suit him a lot better in my opinion because they are a very flashy club and Paris is a very flashy city. I see Rashford as quite a brand player as well giving more reason to move to France than Italy.
I'm also not sure whether Milan or any other club in Italy can afford his £300k-a-week wages.
Nevertheless, it is his choice at the end of the day where he wants to move to but one thing's for certain, MR10 appears to be done and dusted at MUFC.
I'm not sure how this whole swap thing works and whether it will work at all between United and Napoli. We'll just have to wait and see how this stroy develops.
