Fabrizio Romano said those three words regarding the new Man Utd manager as Ruben Amorim is set to takeover from Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Romano says that: "Manchester United are set to pay €10m exit clause for Rúben Amorim to become new manager, here we go!Sporting confirm formal communication received from #MUFC for Amorim to be appointed.Amorim has already said yes to Man Utd proposal and project."
Sky Sports are also saying that "Sporting CP have informed the Portuguese stock exchange that Manchester United are prepared to pay Rúben Amorim's release clause."
This indicates that all is on track as INEOS have not wasted any time on finding a replacement for Erik ten Hag, who was sacked on Monday.
Florian Plettenberg is saying that the final details of the deal will be completed tonight after Sporting's game against Nacional with his announcement potentially coming some time this week.
Final Thoughts
Well, out with the old, in with the new. Just like that, ten Hag is history and Amorim is the present.
I am happy with this news as Amorim is one of the most highly sort-after managers in Europe and more than that, the speed at which INEOS took to get the deal done has been impressive. I also like the fact that it went under the radar and came out of nowhere.
I have a feeling that he will be announced tomorrow although at this rate, it could be once Sporting's game is done tonight. Kind of reminds me when we got Ronaldo all those years ago. He also came from Sporting. Quite a few Sporting-United connections.
It isn't official yet so I'll save my complete reaction for that but a 'here we go' is pretty accurate.
What I will say is that I believe that this is INEOS' guy. They went and got the manager they wanted. Ever since they come to the club, I always felt that they didn't like ten Hag and wanted to get rid of him.
His exploits in the FA Cup final meant that that was sort of impossible, at least at that time. The poor couple of months this season gave them the reason to move him on and get Amorim in which again, given the speed of this deal, suggests he was a target of theirs all along.
But Ruben Amorim to Man Utd here we go! What do you make of that Reds?
